The transition to memory care can be one of the most difficult decisions a family makes. At Bethesda Gardens Frisco Senior Living, we recognize the challenges families face and strive to provide an environment where seniors not only get the physical daily care they need—but also enjoy the highest possible quality of life.
Seniors in the early stages of Alzheimer’s or dementia may be most comfortable in our assisted living community, which offers autonomy and independence backed by a strong safety net of care. Personal assistance such as medication management or arranging medical appointments can help structure the resident’s day, while the vibrant social connections can help stave off memory loss and keep the mind sharp.
As Alzheimer’s progresses, our memory care community offers an advanced level of care, with supervision and monitoring available 24 hours a day. As a faith-based organization, we value service above all else, which means our compassionate team is here to serve our residents and their families with the transition.
Our Health Services Director meets with new residents and their families to develop an individualized care plan, which includes an assessment of the resident’s physical and psychological needs, and is reviewed regularly as needs progress.
To help manage anxiety, wandering, sundowner’s syndrome, and other behaviors, we offer numerous alternative therapies, including:
• Life skills stations to help residents maintain life-long skills & habits
• Scents to stimulate appetite and calm anxiety
• Pet therapy for residents who wander
• Multi-sensory Snoezelen Lounge offering soothing sounds, low lighting, scents, and water features to calm and relax
• Musical performances
• Resident sing-alongs to connect through songs they’ve known for decades
Additionally, our community offers a variety of enriching activities, life-skill areas, social settings, and wellness programs specifically designed to care for and support individuals with dementia and their families.
